*~*SWeeT TReaTs FaiRY PaRTy!*~*

You are invited to a party..The Sweet Treats Fairy Party!!
Date: Thursday, July 3rd, 2008-Monday, August 11th, 2008!
Time: Come when you feel like it, stay as long as you like!
Who'll be there: You, friends, and fairies!
How: What do you mean how? Invite your friends, come play, eat, repeat!

Party time!!!

Welcome!! Pick out some jewelry to wear! Now, now, there's some for all of you, no need to push. (well, unless you all want the same piece)

There's lots to choose from, take your time.
So sparkly!
**ooh, ahh***
Lots of eye candy!

One of you gets to wear this precious bottle of fairy dust!

Meet Annabelle. She's the queen fairy!
Pick up a mask while you're here. Sorry I only have one, so you'll have to share.

My turn! Okay, who wants to try it on next?
Now that you're all dolled up and ready to start the party, take a look around, mingle with the other guests, and meet my friends! This flag is the official fairy flag of Sparkleville.
My bear. He doesn't have a name..he just can't decide what he wants to be called. Maybe you can come up with a good name for him?
Mermaid Goddess, Guardian of Keys. Don't take her keys...she'll get really upset! She's very protective of them. One time I stored my keys in her box and when I went to take them, she was so upset she took them all apart! (They were looped on keychains, you see)
Make yourself comfy on my couch. There's a bucket full of treats off to the side. Sugar rush!

Mannequin of Dreams! All of my butterflies and birdies love to rest on it. Oh look! There's a small dragonfly resting on your shoulder! He'll soon fly off and find his way back to his perch!
If you get sleepy from all the treats you'll be eating, you can rest your head here. It's a fairy nest! When my fairy friends heard you were all coming to my party, they decided to get together and transform my room for you..I walked in today and couldn't believe my eyes! They wove silk pillows and blankets, and of course from all their fluttering and flying around, there's fairy dust on everything! *achoo!* But it looks wonderful on your skin. Fairy dust seems to give me a perfect glow.
Time for beverages! I don't have tea, but the fairies have put together some special drinks for you! Here's the first. Your future can be told when you add a few drops of Fae Future Elixir to your drink. When the swirls stop, you'll have your answer.
Mine says..I won't have many treats left when the party's over! Well, that one was pretty obvious. We'll be getting to the treats soon, but first let's try some yummy Fairy Berry!
Mm..Fairy Berry. No one really can describe the exact flavor of it, but it's addictively delicious.

And bubbly! Careful, it might bubble over!
Fairy Berry not for you? How about some Fairy Blue Sugared Dessert drink? The sweetest drink known to humankind.
For those of you who prefer a unique blend with a touch of elegance, the Fairy Potion is the drink for you. Comes in a tea set, and you can put your Blue sugar and your cream right into the potion.
Potion. It does something different to each person. Maybe you'll grow an inch taller, or suddenly have the urge to start singing opera. It might make your eyes sparkle or your hair turn into fine threads of silk. This drink is definitely for the adventurous ones out there. Oh, and may I mention, the effects of the drink only last 24 hours, so if the effects are...less than becoming, don't worry, you can hide out at my party until it's over. I've got plenty of room.
Blue sugar. So sweet, so delicious.

Extra creamy cream.
The potion is served using my magic tea set. They all float on their own, so you don't have to lift a finger! So, let the teapot fill up your cup.
Want some cream?
And a little sugar, too.
My, that was delicous wasn't it...what? Do I have something on my face? Oh, that potion didn't..did it? Oh, now that wasn't very nice. I guess the potion didn't do anything...wait, why do I have wings? Oh, well that's not that bad. I guess for 24 hours at least, I'm a human sized fairy. Oh well. Well, you have a tail, so I guess we're even.

Now, on to the treats! Have some strawberries!
But don't eat the jewelry, it's not that special edible fairy jewelry..
Cupcakes!! Well, Fairycakes. The fairies baked them fresh this morning, still warm! I'm told the frosting is made of hopes, and dreams, and bright moonbeams.
Many different colors for you to choose from. Violet, teal, raspberry, green.
You can have them with or without sprinkles.

And now, on to the most fun part! Now that you're all stuffed with delicious fairy treats and drinks, and you possibly have another set of arms, you won't want to miss this! As a thank you for coming to my Sweet Treats Fairy Party, I am giving away all these goodies! All you have to do for a chance to win is leave a comment on this post and a way to contact you. (Either through a blog or email)[United States only, and one entry per person please] This party pack of goodies does not include the bucket that the items are in or the scarf that is draped over the bucket. (Or the flower print background. Yeah, I saw you eyeing it!)I've decided to give everyone a fair chance (since a lot of you come late, you bad, bad guests!) this party will be a month long one!! I will draw the name for the giveaway on August 11th, 2008! My next post will announce the winner! (Though I will admit, I am dying to post! I think I'm going through blogger withdrawl...)
All of these luscious goodies could be yours!
It's a mix of vintage and modern jewelry, butterflies, birdies, a party hat, fairy, and a bottle of fairy dust, and fairy party sign I made, and so much more!!
Aww cute little birdie with the party hat on!

Thank you all for coming to my party! I hope you had a splendid time and come back for seconds (or thirds, eighths, tenths.....) PARTY!
Make sure you check out my new blog, http://hiddenenchantments.blogspot.com
I'll be posting there while the party's going on!

I love Halloween, and I was just in the mood to create a piece that's themed to Hallow's Eve!
I figured, if I feel like it, why not?

*~*NeW GooDieS*~*

Cute little clown music box. Plays "Send in the Clowns". It's made in Japan. The clown moves to the music. It is seriously the coolest thing I've ever found!
This alligator reminds me of Nightmare Before Christmas! I don't know why; maybe the exaggerated characteristics? Love the big smile.
My bed-low to the ground India style!
My preserved bonsai tree, crystal ball and little birdies atop my tv, with some around the world theme pics hanging in the background.

I just realized that this is my 100th post! I can't believe I've posted that many. Time really does go by fast. (Especially when I'm creating art-before I know it, 4 hours has passed when it feels like I've just sat down!)

Here's some new mermaid goodies for you to look at! A mirror & bottle piece.

Both are available for purchase on ebay here:http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyeBay&gbh=1&CurrentPage=MyeBaySelling&smGHR=true&&_trksid=m37&guest=1

Cool giant star (and I mean giant-it's as big as my table!) which I hung strands of beads and neat beaded ornaments.
My messenger bag. I loaded it with brooches and keychains.
I love all things India themed, so when I found this, I was super excited! I don't think it was for sale, because there was a tag that said 'keep' on it, but they sold it to me anyway, so... woot! I put a lock & key on it. I store all of my magickal goodies inside. No peeking!
Okay, so my birthday's not til' November 1, but come on, who could resist a faux cake this cute? No one, that's right. It looks positively delicious.
Dreams and dragonflies....
Snagged this awesome find at an estate sale. Love the vintage chandelier drops!
I obsess over vintage chandeliers...I know this isn't the exact type I was looking for, but since I love a touch of black, this just called to me.
Me and my kitty! Coco. :D (Sleepyhead. Couldn't even look up for the photo. Aww, but so darn cute!)

Yep, that's me.
Look at how short my hair is! EE! No idea how it got

that short, but I guess I'm going for the 'pixie' look. (not pixie as in a 'pixie' haircut, but the actual being-pixie. So cute like little fairies...but mischevious)

"Butler Bob" as I call him. Tied with a pretty ribbon, too.
I found this rainbow colored stringed piece at a garage sale. I think it's supposed to be hung outside to blow in the wind, but who am I to follow rules?
My loveseat, table, and ottoman. I put my white fur rug on the ottoman...so soft! Oh, and that's Coco's bed. Notice how Coco is not in it. (He is on my bed..bad kitty!)

I just finished an altered art mermaid mirror tonight-will be listing it tomorrow! (And going to more garage sales tomorrow too!) So..I know I didn't write for a while, so I think that's why I've posted tons in the last few days..guilt trip! When I scope out other people's blogs, the thing I love the most is looking at their photos-of their home, things they enjoy buying and what their life is like. I've been trying to post more photos on my blog.

I've been thinking about doing a post about 'the day in the life of Krista' (me) and documenting everything I do-including photos. Though I don't know if I could really put a pic of me without makeup-eek! *laugh*

Please let me know if any of these ideas sound good! (and which ones) I love your comments and feedback!

The camera battery went out before I could finish taking photos of my room, but I was able to get these ones of my vanity-it's become the place for all of my whimsical and magical things! I kept my mom's key holder and Marie Antoinette brush, and the mermaid jewelry box and fairy poison antidote bottle I made, and the other things are pieces I've picked up from various thrift shops, garage sales, and just hunting for bargains. :D

I'm really excited about our new projects! I just finished this mermaid piece yesterday and I really enjoyed trying a new style with my art. You'll be seeing a lot of new art pieces! Also check out Pug Party! Little pom poms on the hats-just had to!
These pieces are both available for purchase on ebay, as are almost all of our artworks.

*~*NeW STyLe*~*

I have a few different projects I'm working on right now...excited about them all! We have revamped our style of work, so you'll see even more professional, streamlined, and visually intruiging artworks from us!

We are also discontinuing shabby style art. I really am an altered art mermaid artist at heart, so there will be many more mermaid art creations available for purchase on ebay from us. There may be a few animal, fairy, and other artworks mixed in, but mostly mermaid!

Oh, and since summer offically began June 21, Happy Summer! :D
(Not my fave season, but reminds me of the ocean, and inspires more beach and mermaid themed pieces nonetheless!)

My plans for the month of July so far..
4th: BBQ! We're going to have hot dogs and burgers, root beer floats, and of course pink lemonade, and I'm going to make some cupcakes with red, white and blue frosting!

11th: Movie time! I'm going to see Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3-D!
13th?: Not sure what day, but I'm dying to see Hellboy2 in theaters!

The rest of July isn't planned out yet...I guess it'll be spontaneous fun!

I just created a Marie Antoinette-themed jewelry box which I will be listing for sale on ebay tonight!

Also, to feed your artist's soul, I posted some pics of a jewelry box I created a few days ago. Originally to sell, but I became attached to it and decided to keep it!

I will post the Marie Antoinette jewelry box photos soon!

I bought this at the zoo. Purple puffer fish!
Blue seahorse. I bought this for my mom-she loves seahorses. I hung the puffer fish & seahorse by our art studio so we can enjoy them each day!
Our art studio!! We bought even more organizers because we have so many supplies! My side is on the right, my mom's is on the left.
My bed. I switched sides-I'm sleeping by the footboard. I know, I'm weird, I like to switch things up. :D This gold canopy that I got for my birthday last year hangs by my headboard.
Pillows! I love a comfy bed.
My lounge spot. This is where I watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I've just recently started watching them and I'm hooked! I love watching movies.
My mannequin & wall divider.

Somewhere, in the depths of the ocean, amidst a shipwreck, a mirror lay amongst the ruins. A mermaid happened upon this mirror as she discovered hidden treasures, but unfortunately for her, this was no ordinary mirror....it was an enchanted mirror, and her image was forever captured in it. Perhaps your image will be captured in it, when you look upon your reflection....
By the way-thanks for fixing the link Carrie! Sometimes I don't notice comments people have made on my blog either, so if I miss a few, it's not me being rude; just a little ignorant! ;)

If you're interested in scrapbooking, journalling, and keeping track of things/schedule, etc., then this is the book for you! It has 26 pages, 12 months and it can be used for any year. It's packed full of flowers, ribbons, embellishments, and places for you to doodle, write, paste photos, schedule, and more! I really enjoyed creating this! (And it took many, many hours to create!)

Enjoy!
